Fisherman Basket (Bin 24)

Baskets are a dime a dozen, so to speak, but these are different. These baskets are incredibly durable, made with one long wire modeled after old fisherman baskets. This leave no chance for pocky wires scratching your surfaces or snagging your soft goods.

The hanger is easily mounted on the wall with three screws, creating a smart and elegant wall mounted storage solution. The basket also has little plastic clips that snap onto the wires to prevent the basket from damaging surfaces, like the wall it hangs on or the floor it sits on. The basket is smooth to take down and hang back up again so you can tote it wherever you need it.

In the early 2000s we found an old basket in a fisherman’s shed and thereafter learnt about the craftsmanship. The craftsmanship was about to die out and we could not let the beauty and function of the baskets go. The sustainability of the basket and its craftsmanship had a revival to make against plastic! In 2006 the company Korbo AB was founded and the production was restarted with the exact same technique as in 1922.

The name Korbo is a play on words. The Swedish word for basket is Korg, and the name of the county where the baskets was originally made is Bohuslän. Combining these two words gives you Korbo.
